This is a project I did in school which helped me learn the basics of 3D Modeling. The goal was to create a room space, which I made in 3D Blender. The process below details the progress made to make the project complete, including adding textures and making an animation within the space itself.
The Room - Initial Design
The room here in its inital stage, with elements such as desk drawers and windows being made by extruding shapes and lights being used to give the space more of a lively feel. The next part would be to give the room a more refined look.
Textures
Various parts of the room were given textures to give the room a more finished and complete look. After going through everything, I was then tasked with creating an animation within the space itself. I had an idea planned ahead for this, based on the initial design I had.
Animation
The animation here shows the practices of creating keyframes to control the camera and switching off the lamp light. Rigging was also done on the bear plush to add more movement in the scene.
Complete Room Space
After going through a few more touch ups, I finally gave the room a more complete look. My experience with this project was very positive, as working in 3D is something i've always been interested in, and getting to work with the tools was a rewarding experience. Though I couldn't get parts of the room to look how I initally wanted, and the animation itself was not fully polished, these are things I will look to improve on in future projects and hopefully in this one in the future.
